Executive Vice President, Global Mastering & Servicing, Studio Operations
Emmanuelle Borde is executive vice president of Global Mastering & Servicing at Sony Pictures and is responsible for managing overall operations and strategic planning for the group, including production operations (mastering, language dubbing, subtitling, creative editorial), client operations, global supply chain management, global title database, and content licensing (stock footage, film clips & still licensing).
Supporting all lines of business at the studio, the Global Mastering & Servicing group handles the mastering, versioning and servicing of features and television content for worldwide downstream distribution to over 4000 clients in 109 countries.
Borde joined Sony Pictures Digital in 2000 as a Creative Director and later became Vice President, Worldwide Production & Marketing before getting promoted to Senior Vice President in 2007. In 2012, Borde was named Executive Vice President and General Manager of Sony Pictures Interactive, the digital production and marketing studio known for its award-winning, global campaigns for movies and television shows. She ran strategy for SonyPictures.com and led the Web Governance Steering Committee for Sony Pictures. In 2013, she assumed responsibilities over Content Licensing and the Post Media Center, the internal production group specializing in downstream post production workflows.
Prior to Sony, Borde was head of worldwide marketing for New Regency Productions where she led all aspects of marketing. Before New Regency, she worked on creative advertising campaigns for dozens of movies at Twentieth Century Fox and was responsible for digital marketing strategy and digital production (movie websites and games).
Since 1998, Borde has been teaching various digital marketing and production classes at the graduate level. She started teaching as a visiting assistant professor at the University of California Los Angeles for the Master of Fine Arts’ Producers Program in the Department of Film, Television and Digital Media. She also periodically gives lectures for the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California. She is actively involved with the Entertainment Technology Center at USC and is a member of the Producers Guild of America, Hollywood Post Alliance and Society of Motion Pictures & Television Engineers.
A native of France, Borde obtained a Maîtrise de Cinéma degree with honors from the Université de la Sorbonne Nouvelle Film School, an advanced degree in English and American Law from the Institute of Comparative Law, and a law degree from the Université du Panthéon-Assas Law School in Paris. She came to the United States to attend the Producers Program at UCLA.
