Conde Nast

Brian Cross is the Director of Digital Assets and Rights for Conde Nast.

Since 2007, he has helped to build and manage the company’s Digital Asset Management systems. He is responsible for overseeing XML content conversion, metadata and syndication workflows surround the company’s digital assets. His work also includes the large scale digitization of the company’s archives – including publications as Vogue, Vanity Fair, Architectural Digest and WWD. Since 2009, he has been involved in a number of mobile and tablet content initiatives and has recently led the effort to modernize the company’s enterprise Rights Management systems.

Prior to joining Conde Nast, Brian worked at ARTstor as a Digital Archivist on the Mellon International Dunhuang Archive (MIDA). He has an MLIS from Pratt Institue and BA from SUNY New Paltz.

Matt Turner is the CTO, Media and Publishing at MarkLogic where he develops strategy and solutions for the Media, Publishing and Information Provider markets and works with customers and prospects to create leading edge information and digital content applications with MarkLogic’s Enterprise NoSQL database. Matt works closely with MarkLogic’s customers McGraw-Hill, Warner Bros., Conde Nast and LexisNexis.

Before joining MarkLogic, Matt was at Sony Music and PC World developing innovative publishing and asset delivery applications.
