The Hollywood IT Society’s breakfast series returns on Tuesday, November 5th, 2013 for a two-hour meeting of content holders and their service provider partners that features the “Concept to Camera to Consumer” Special Interest Group (C3 SIG) of HITS, consisting of technology and production executives of Film and TV Networks and Broadcast divisions of the Hollywood studios engaged in identifying the opportunities and challenges in broadcast and film production.  The objective of the SIG has been to enable the business transformation of the entertainment industry to cover end–to-end of the supply chain, from pre-production, production and post-production to broadcast of content to consumers.

Building the Next Generation Workflow for Film & TV Production
This panel discussion of studio and broadcast executives will address the issues of bringing the multiple pieces of the production workflow into an interconnected network of software and apps to assist business units in all aspects of production (financial, legal, etc.) with management systems and tools. In addition, the challenge of metadata, attributes and elements that will advance the fluidity, timeliness and consistency across all studios represents an enormous opportunity for collaboration. The industry will be presented with their initiative that will prove to be a win-win for all stakeholders in the entertainment production ecosystem.

Service and technology solution providers will present the solutions available to address the building blocks of the digital backbone from concept for content to the consumer. Many of the areas of management of script, budgets, schedules, payroll, talent, rights, digital capture, digital dailies, collaborative sharing, archiving, distribution, marketing and metadata will be addressed. Discussing the best business practices will be the focus for industry thought leadership. Finally, the task of building an integrated workflow to serve global needs, while providing tools for management, will be discussed.
