Vanessa Jamieson Shanahan has over 11 year experience in quantitative analytics, 10 of which was spent exclusively serving the Entertainment Industry. Currently VP, Director of Analytics & Insight at Wunderman, a WPP advertising agency, Vanessa oversees digital, social, email, CRM, media analytics, and primary research across major brands. Vanessa also heads the Social Analytics Group across Wunderman Data and KBM Group. Prior to this she was Director of Analytics a London-based digital and social agency serving the entertainment industry. Before this she spent 8 years at MarketCast, a global research and consulting firm serving the entertainment industry, as Associate Director Product Development. Prior to this role she spent 3 years in London helping MarketCast launch an International office, and overseeing International quantitative research, and previously as an analyst worked across Brand, Advertising, and Tracking Research products. She started her career at OTX pioneering online survey data collection with streaming media assets. Vanessa has a Ph.D. in Applied Research Methodology and a MA in Organizational Behavior from the Claremont Colleges, and a BS in Biological Psychology & Neuroscience from UC San Diego. Vanessa is an expert in social media data, with interests that pertains to data integrations, visualizations, and technology solutions that support real-time data integrations.
