Dean Hadaegh is Tennis Channel’s senior vice president, broadcast operations, and chief technology officer. The veteran information technology strategist is in charge of all infrastructure and operations activities for the network.

With Tennis Channel as chief technology officer since before its May 2003 launch, Hadaegh was promoted to oversee broadcast operations as well in 2009. In this role he manages the strategic direction of all network technology, including the channel’s recently introduced high-definition components. He also supervises hardware, software and equipment and directs all areas of facility management, among them broadcasting and production facilities and corporate offices.

Hadaegh additionally spearheaded the launch of the state-of-the-art production and operations facility that Tennis Channel introduced in December 2007. Guiding the entire project from concept to creation, he developed a studio environment that accommodated the network’s move to HD simulcast in 2008 and that allows for future media platform development and international broadcast growth. Featuring a 5,000-sq. ft. production stage on the main floor and an insert stage, two production control rooms, a voice-over room and green room on the second floor, the facility enables the network to cut into broadcasts with news updates and ultimately develop a network newsroom.

Before joining Tennis Channel Hadaegh was president and chief technology officer at digital-branding and Web-development company S.O.M.A., Inc., based in Venice, Calif. In this position from 1998-2002, he developed all aspects of business and the company’s financial planning and management, operations and client account management.

Hadaegh spent 1990-1998 as president and chief executive officer of Camarillo, Calif.-based Logicode Technology, Inc. While there he managed and directed all facets of domestic and international sales, marketing, manufacturing, research and the development of data communications and multimedia peripherals for personal computers. His career also has included tenures as vice president of information technology and chief information technology officer of both PolyGram Filmed International/ITC Entertainment Group, Inc. of North Hollywood, Calif., and Spelling Entertainment, Inc. of Los Angeles. For the latter Hadaegh was charged with modernizing the company’s technological functions before it went public, and with leading multimillion dollar acquisitions.
